I originally became involved in the Royal Rangers Ministry when my son Brandon became a kindergartener and started in Ranger Kids. I have always strived to be involved in everything my children do so I volunteered to help. Of course with my limited knowledge of the ministry then I just figured I was volunteering to ‘babysit’ kids while their parents were in church. Boy was I mistaken! That was about 6 years ago now and as a Commander I am still involved in the ministry and will be for some time to come. This has been both a challenging and rewarding time. Often it is tough to find time to prepare the material for class as thoroughly as I would prefer. Sometimes it is even a bigger challenge to keep a class of up to 18 boys in control.
